AccidentGuide (“the App”) is a mobile application designed to help users document car accidents efficiently and thoroughly. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Our Core Principle: Your accident data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal accident information on our servers.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When using AccidentGuide, you may voluntarily enter or generate the following information:

• Personal Details: Name, phone number, insurance provider (optional)
• Document Photos: Photos of your driver’s license and insurance card
• Vehicle Information: Vehicle names and license plate numbers
• Accident Documentation: Location data, photos of the scene, audio recordings, other driver’s information, timestamps, and notes

Information Collected Automatically

To improve app stability, we use the following service:

• Crash Reports: When the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic information is sent to help us fix bugs and improve reliability

This automatic collection does not include your personal accident data, photos, recordings, or any information you enter about yourself or others involved in accidents.

How We Use Information

Your information is used to:

1. Document Accidents: Store photos, videos, location, and notes about incidents
2. Generate Reports: Create PDF reports you can share with insurance companies or law enforcement
3. Display Maps: Show accident locations using Google Maps
4. Provide Emergency Numbers: Display relevant emergency contact numbers based on your location
5. Improve the App: Use anonymous crash reports to fix bugs and enhance stability

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All your accident data (personal details, photos, documents, recordings) is stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage
• No Server Storage: We do not operate servers that store your personal accident information. We cannot access your data unless you explicitly share it
• Device Security: Your data is protected by Android’s built-in app sandboxing and your device’s security features

Third-Party Services

AccidentGuide uses the following third-party services:

• Advertising networks or advertising IDs
• Analytics services that track user behavior
• Social media SDKs
• Any service that collects your personal accident data

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared when:

• You explicitly choose to share: Using the share/export features to send reports to insurance companies, law enforcement, or others
• Anonymous crash data: Sent automatically to Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability (contains no personal information)

Permissions

AccidentGuide requests the following permissions:

Location (Foreground Only)	To record where the accident occurred and show relevant emergency numbers. We do NOT access your location in the background.
Camera	To capture photos of the accident scene, vehicles, and documents
Microphone	To record audio notes describing the accident
Photos/Media Access	To import existing photos from your gallery when scanning documents

All permissions are used solely for accident documentation purposes. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.

Data Retention

• Your accident data remains on your device until you delete it
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
• Crash reports are retained by Firebase according to their standard retention policies (typically 90 days)

Children’s Privacy

AccidentGuide is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data stored in the app (it’s on your device)
• Delete any or all data at any time through the app
• Export your data using the share/export features

Premium Features

Premium features are available through a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Payment information is handled entirely by Google and is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the “Last Updated” date.
